Privacy policy
Plain English, because that's how we'd want it explained to us. Effective July 17, 2026.
What we collect
This website collects information only when you choose to send it to us through one of our forms — the risk submission form and the producer application. That information includes your name, agency name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about the risk or your agency (such as the insured's name, coverage type, license number, and your description).
We don't use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, chat widgets, or session-recording tools on this site — and we intend to keep it that way. Browsing the site sends us nothing.
Hosting and fonts
Like every website, this one is delivered by infrastructure providers: the site is hosted by Vercel, and its typeface is loaded from the Inter font's host (rsms.me). When your browser requests a page or a font file, those providers see the standard technical data any web server sees — such as your IP address and browser type — which they use to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't receive or review that data, and none of it is used for advertising.
How form data is delivered and used
When you submit a form, the contents are delivered to our office email by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that transmits your message and does not use it for its own purposes. We use what you send us for exactly one thing: responding to you and doing the work you asked about — reviewing a risk, preparing a quote, or processing your producer appointment.
If you submit a risk for placement, the underwriting details you provide will be shared with the wholesale insurance markets we approach to quote it. That is the purpose of the submission. We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Insurance records have to be kept. If your submission becomes a placement, the related records are retained as required by Florida insurance law and our regulatory obligations. If nothing comes of an inquiry, it simply remains in our business correspondence.
Your choices
If you want to know what we have on file from a website form, want it corrected, or want it deleted (where the law doesn't require us to keep it), just ask — reach us through the contact page and we'll sort it out. If your state's privacy law gives you specific rights over your personal information, we'll honor any request that law requires — same address.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Since this site doesn't track anyone in the first place, there's nothing for those signals to turn off — but for the record: we don't track visitors across this or other websites, so we treat every visitor as if the signal were on.
Insurance customers
If you become an insurance customer of Black Shore, the nonpublic personal information we collect in that relationship is handled under the federal and Florida insurance privacy rules that apply to licensed producers. In short: we collect what's needed to place and service your coverage, we share it only with the insurers, wholesale markets, and service providers involved in placing and servicing that coverage (or as the law otherwise permits or requires), and we do not sell it or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Children
This site is for insurance professionals and businesses. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. We won't quietly change how your information is handled.
