Accessibility statement
Everyone should be able to use this website. Here's what we do about that, and what to do if something isn't working for you. Last reviewed July 17, 2026.
Our commitment
Black Shore Insurance Group is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility isn't a bolt-on for us — the site was built to work with keyboards, screen readers, and reduced-motion settings from the start, and we review it against that standard when we make changes.
The standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the internationally recognized guidelines for making web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we've done
- Every page can be navigated and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- All form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels, and errors are announced to assistive technology.
- Text colors are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios, and images have text alternatives.
- Pages use semantic structure — proper landmarks, one main heading per page, and a logical heading order.
- All animation and motion on the site is disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion.
- We deliberately do not use accessibility overlay widgets — we fix the site itself instead.
Compatibility
This site is built with standard HTML and CSS and is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) and common screen readers. It requires no plugins.
If something isn't working for you
Despite our efforts, some part of this site may not work perfectly with every assistive technology. If you hit a barrier, email us at amazzei@blackshoreinsurance.com or reach us through the contact page, and we'll fix it — we aim to respond within two business days.
And nothing on this website is the only way to work with us: anything you can do here, we'll gladly handle directly by email or phone instead. Just reach out.
